Intermittent lane closures along eastbound SR 198, between SR 43 and Sixth Avenue in Kings County. Work is scheduled for Wednesday Feb. 21, 2024. Closures will be intermittent between the hours of 6 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Description

Kings County, Calif. – The California High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority), in cooperation with design-build contractor Dragados-Flatiron Joint Venture (DFJV), announces intermittent lane closures State Route (SR) 198, between SR 43 and Sixth Avenue in Kings County for ongoing work at the Hanford Viaduct. Work is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2024. Closures will be intermittent between the hours of 6 a.m. and 9 p.m.

This work is part of Construction Package 2-3 (CP 2-3), the 65-mile stretch of high-speed rail between East American Avenue in Fresno County and one-mile north of the Tulare-Kern County line.

All construction activities and schedules are subject to change. The California High-Speed Rail project is considered a critical infrastructure sector, and as the project continues, staff, contractors and construction workers are following specific guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all employees due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
